Dentist

Dr. Jill Moniz grew up in Lancaster, Pa and graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Biology. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, the world’s first dental college!  Following dental school, Dr. Moniz completed a general practice residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital, gaining additional experience in comprehensive treatment planning on medically compromised patients.  Dr. Moniz worked in private practice in Lancaster county and Philadelphia prior to joining The Schiff Dental Group in 2013.

Dr. Moniz is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and Montgomery Bucks Dental Society.  She enjoys taking continuing education courses to stay up to date on the latest advances in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, as well as Invisalign.

Dr. Moniz lives in Ardmore with her husband, David, and their labradoodle and rescue doodle, Dexter and Morgan. In her spare time she enjoys visiting with friends and family, running, skiing, and her new quarantine hobbies of Peloton and needlepoint!

Dr. Lawrence Schiff has been practicing cosmetic, reconstructive, and general dentistry since 1980. After spending six years on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, he entered full-time private practice with the goal of assembling Philadelphia’s finest team of specialists to provide the best dental care possible.

Having been awarded the prestigious designation of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry in 1998, Dr. Schiff is also an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Dental Association, the Montgomery-Bucks Dental Society and the Philadelphia County Dental Society.

Away from the office, he and his wife, Susan Zemmel, D.M.D., a retired periodontist, enjoy traveling, visiting with their adult children, and playing golf.

Dr. Reza Hakim Shoushtari received his first dental degree from Semmelweis University in Hungary. After practicing dentistry for a few years in Netherland he moved to the United States and received his second dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, during which he was recognized as “The Recipient of the Outstanding Dental Student in Implant Dentistry Award” by the Academy of Osseointegration, received “The Howell Smith Award in Prosthetic Dentistry”, and graduated with an Honors in radiology. Then he pursued his specialty degree in Periodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis at the University of Pennsylvania. During his residency, Dr. Hakim received the prestigious “Arnold S. Weisgold Director’s Award”, which is given to the best resident of the class. Enjoying teaching and basic science, Dr. Hakim received his Master of Science in Oral Biology and is currently clinical assistant professor at the Periodontics Department at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Hakim lives in Philadelphia with his wife Asal, who is a pediatric dentist and they enjoy playing tennis and traveling in their free time.
